Monaca, PA – Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer hosted Penn State New Kensington in a PSUAC conference match. Both teams were looking for an important win in the conference.
New Kensington was the first team to get on the board in the 12th minute from a long free kick that flew perfectly into the top left corner of the goal. After this goal the bad weather started to roll in. Wind, rain, and hail came in and made the match difficult for both teams to play. This weather stayed for the rest of the first half and New Kensington was able to grab one more goal just before the break to make the score 2-0 going into the second half. The bad weather started to make its way out at the start of the second half which started to open up the game. Although the weather went away that did not help Beaver as New Kensington was able to put up seven goals in the second half for a final score of 9-0.
