Monaca, Pa - The Lions were back on the field once again today taking on Penn State Schuylkill as they near the end of their season. Beaver has struggled this season only managing to get one win and losing the rest of their games. Today proved to be another tough day for Beaver losing 7-0.
Schuylkill scored 2 goals in the first half and went on a run in the second half scoring 5 goals. Beaver was unable to buy a goal, even though fifth year Valentina Sandoval (Miami, FL) took 2 attempts on goal and first year Candence Nichols (Washington Courthouse, OH) took one attempt to score a goal.
Although Beaver was unable to stop Schuylkill from scoring 7 goals, first year Kierstyn Mays (Sterling, IL) had 20 saves out of the 27 shots taken.
Beaver will be taking a break, but will be back playing on Sunday, October 14, where they will be traveling to Penn State Brandywine. The game begins at 1pm EST so stay tuned for all the updates at beaverathletics.com!
