Beaver is defeated 7-1 in first home game of the year

Beaver Falls, PA - Today, Penn State Beavers Women's Soccer team took on Defiance College at Wright Field in their second game of the season. Putting up a fight against Defiance, the Lady Lions were unable to bring home a win with the game ending 7-1. This is the last preseason game they play before ocnference play begins, and their first home game of the year. They may have been defeated today. but they have a chance to start off confernece play strong in their first conference game on Wednesday at Penn State Mont Alto. 

Senior Megan Bartley, the starting goalkeeper for the Lady Lions, (Austintown, OH) had 10 saves allowing 3 goals in the first half of the game. Freshman Jordan Brown (Rockville, MD) played the second half of the game as the goalkeeper for the Lady Lions saving 7 shots on goal and allowing 4 goals. Junior Bailey Brown (Lexington, SC) scored the only goal today for the Lady Lions in the first half at 21:24.
