The Lady Lions fell to 0-2 in the PSUAC for the 2021 campaign; falling to Penn State Mont Alto 6-0.
Allison VanKirk (Pittsburgh, PA / West Mifflin) took the first goal attempt for Beaver at the 4:00 minute mark in the first half. The Lady Lions didn't get another shot until Theodora Sakkas (Beaver, PA / Beaver) attempted a kick (wide right) at the 18:56 minute mark. The Lady Lions first shot attempt in the 2nd half was by Bailey Brown (Lexington, SC White Knoll) and the last shot Beaver took was a long corner kick by Brown. Megan Bartley (Austintown, OH Austintown Fitch) did a good job on protecting the net with 33 shots on goal and 27 saves. Mont Alto scored 2 goals in the first half and 4 goals in the second half. Beaver played decently on defensive in the first half but fell short towards the end of the game.
Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer overall record stands at 0-4. The Lady Lions will return Saturday the 18th as they will take on Thiel College. Come support Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer at Wright Field, Veterans Park - Field #3, 2:00 p.m.
