Rochester, PA -- The Penn State Beaver women's soccer team returned to action on Sunday, September 25, to take on Alfred State. The Beaver women haven't had much luck early in the season and they come into this game hoping for a good out of conference win.
The game started out as a one sided affair, with Alfred State taking hold of the game right away. It wasn't long before Alfred State took the lead in this one, as Beaver let up the first goal of the day in the 13th minute. The goals didn't stop there either as Alfred State would end up scoring six more goals by the end of play, winning 6-0.
This was another bad loss for Beaver, as they were outplayed from the first whistle. As Beaver only tallied two shots in this game their opponents were able to tally a stunning 52 shots, 32 of which were on goal. Beaver's goalie, Brittany Zahn, played a great game as she had 26 saves on 32 shots.
Beaver now sits at 2-6 overall with a 1-2 conference record. The team will return to action on Saturday, October 1 at home against Penn State Schuylkill. This conference game is set to start at 2 pm.
