Beaver defeated 4-0 against Point Park

Unionville, PA - The Lady Lions were defeated Wednesday afternoon 4-0 against Point Park in their last non-conference game of the season.

Beaver took the field today looking towards the end of the season. Despite it being non-conference, Beaver fought til the end and gained more practice for their last game. Each team played the first half with about the same intensity. Point Park had a little more intensity than Beaver, and were able to add 1 goal to the board leading on Beaver 1 -0 just after 3 minutes of play. They proceeded to the second half where Point Park scored 3 more on Beaver, finishing the game with a 4-0 lead over Beaver.

Depsite the loss, their was some high points to Beaver's game. Overall, Beaver had 10 saves, oppose to Point Park who only had 7. Brittany Zahn (New Brighton, PA/ New Brighton) saved 10 out of the 14 shots on goal. Even though Beaver had no goals they had 13 shots with 7 of them on goal. Beaver now take this loss and push it behind them and focus on their next game and finishing the season out with a big win.

The Lady Lions of Beaver are 1 PSUAC game away from the Championship game. They face Brandywine Saturday, October 24, at 11 p.m.
