Battle of the Cats Goes to Potomac
Beaver Falls to Potomac State 9-1

Unionville, PA - The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions (0-9, 0-0 PSUAC) fell to the the Lady Catamounts of Potomac State (Keyser, WV) by a score of 9-1. This was the Lady Lions first home contest since September 13.
Potomac State began the game with a goal in the 2nd minute of play and added another 6th minute to put the match away. The Lady Catamounts added six more goals to give themselves a 8-0 halftime lead.
Beaver's lone bright spot was a Leah Murphy (Riverside/Fombell, PA) goal, which was assisted by freshman Mary Carew (Hyde L.P.C.S./Washington, D.C.). Murphy rifled a shot in the bottom left hand corner past the Potomac State keeper to put Beaver on the scoreboard.
Unfortunately, Potomac State added another goal to make the final 9-1. Beaver mustered nine shots, while Murphy leading with eight of them and the lone goal.
Beaver will travel to Malone College (Canton, OH) on Monday, September 26th for a 4 p.m. contest.
