Women's Soccer Falls To Crosstown Rival
Lady Lions Show Improvement, Drop to Geneva

Beaver Falls, PA - The Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer Team (0-2, 0-0 PSUAC) dropped a 10-0 decision to crosstown rival, Geneva College (Beaver Falls, PA) from a game that was made up from a previously postponed contest on September 1st.
Strong play by junior Leah Murphy (Riverside/Fombell, PA) and freshman Rachel Borrell (Downingtown East/Downingtown, PA) helped anchor the defense early. In addition, keeper Kristen Sutton (Seneca Valley/Evans City, PA) made several saves, six for the half, to keep the Lady Golden Tornadoes off the scoreboard, however, the Lady Lions found themselves down by a 3-0 margin at the half.
Geneva continued its offensive attack by adding seven goals (on 21 shots) in the second half to make the final, 10-0.
For the game, Sutton made 13 saves had 43 shots and 21 corner kicks.
The Lady Lions will next travel to Thiel College (Greenville, PA) on Thursday, September 8th to face the Lady Tomcats at 3 p.m.
