Pittsburgh, PA - The Penn State Beaver Women's Soccer Team (0-1, 0-0 PSUAC) fell 9-0 to the Lady Redhawks of LaRoche College (1-0, 0-0 AMCC) in their first game of the 2011 campaign.

LaRoche was the aggessor from the opening kick, as they tallied eight goals in the first half with five coming in the first 30 minutes of the contest.

Beaver would allow only one goal in the shortened second half.

Keeper Kristen Sutton had 10 saves in the loss for the Lady Lions.

The Lady Lions will travel to Thiel College on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 3PM to face the Lady Tomcats.
