Men's Wrestling falls at PSU New Kensington Tournament
New Kensington, PA- Penn State Beaver men's wrestling suffers a tough set of losses at the Penn State New Kensington Open.
Beaver continues to have a rough start to the season, losing 14 out of their 16 matches throughout the day. The two wins came from Sean Newkirk (McDonough, PA / Henry County) and Dylan Winkle (Aliquippa, PA / Hopewell). Newkirk's win came from his match against Jamestown Community College. The win was ruled by decision making his set 1-2 on day. Winkle's win came from his match against Pittsburgh Wrestling Club. His win was also by decision.
Wendell Rubright (Harmony, PA / Seneca Valley) and Joshua Moon (Seoul, Korea / Seoul American High School) both had tough losses, Moon with a very close decision call against Pittsburgh Wrestling Club and Rubright riding time criteria with a decision loss against Jamestown Community College.
Beaver faces Penn State Fayette next at home, on November 19th at 7 p.m.
