Lady Lions Season Comes to an End at USCAA National Tournament
Lady Lions end season on loss to University of Maine - Augusta 97-82
Buffalo, NY - Today the Lady Lions ended their season playing in a consolation game at the USCAA National Tournment. Taking on the University of Maine - Augusta in the Divison II tournament, the Lady Lions lost with a score of 97-82. Starting things off for Beaver was First-year Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) with a layup helping the team score first. Second year Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) made the second score for Beaver and the final score of the first quarter for Beaver getting them to 21-18 in favor of UMA. Going into the locker room, Beaver was down 50-35. Second year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) got the first points of the third with a three-pointer, 8 seconds in. Second-year, Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) mad a layup to end the third quarter with a score of 83-63. Woodruff started the scoring in the 4th with another layup, while First-year, Pricilla Long (Brooklyn, NY) scored the final 2 off a layup bringing the team to their 82 points.
First year Bailey Rieg (Pittburgh, PA) had 28 points, 2 rebounds,and 1 assist coming off the bench. First-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) scored 18 points, had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals. Siegfried scored 14 for Beaver while Black had an amazing 9 assists. Woodruff and Tesch both had 5 rebounds. Woodruff scored 10 points as well for Beaver.
The Lady Lions finish the season 19-11 overall and 13-4 in conference play. The Lady Lions finish the season as PSUAC Champions and look forward to brining the heat back to the court next season.
