Lady Lions beat DuBois 71-65 to go to the Semifinals
Lady Lions Win First Round of Playoffs
Monaca, PA- Lady Lions went to work today as the take on Penn State DuBois who beat them the last two times they played this season. First-year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) started things for Beaver with a jumper. First-year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) followed up her fellow Blackhawk alumni with a layup. Second-year Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) made a jumper to get Beaver to 6 points. In the second quarter, both teams went back and forth scoring and at the end of the half were tied 42-42. Black started the second half off with a jumper. Enderle ended the third with a lay-up. Entering the fourth quarter, Beaver was down 57-55. First-year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) made a lay-up to begin the fourth. Beaver's scoring ended with a free throw by Enderle.
Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) had 15 points, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds. First year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals. First-year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had 13 points, 2 steals,1 assist, and 1 rebound. The team went 25-66 (37.9%) from the field and 19-30 (63.6%) from the free-throw line.
