Monaca, PA- The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions returned home for senior day on Saturday. Fourth year Alexis Reid (Clinton, NC) was honored today. Starting the game off was First year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) with a layup. She was followed up with a by fellow First-year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA). Second year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) made a three which started a streak where she made four threes in a row. At the end of the half, they were up by 20 points. Leaving the Lockeroom, Siegfried made a layup. Towards the end of the third, First-year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had a streak of five layups in a row. Enderle scored the final points of the quarter with a layup. Beginning the fourth, first year Morghan Prevost (Houston, TX) made a layup. Third-year Sanii Poindexter-Grant (Lorton, VA) scored the final points of the game with a jump shot.
Second-year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) lead the scoring with 23 points and 2 steals. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) had 18 points, 3 steals, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds. First-year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist. First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had 12 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist. The Lady Lions went 43-87 (49.4%) from the field and 6-13 (46.2%) from the free-throw line.
The Lady Lions are now 15-8 overall and 12-3 in the conference. The Lady Lions will be back in action on Tuesday, February 18 at Penn State DuBois at 6pm. Come support them at the Penn State Beaver Fieldhouse or all season long on the Rise and Roar Network.
