Lady Lions put on a Show as They Beat Penn State New Kensington 93-49

Monaca, PA- Penn State Beaver took on Penn State New Kensington today in another PSUAC match-up. The Lady Lions outscored their opponent by 15 in the first quarter alone with a score of 25-10. Second-year Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) scored a layup a minute into the game. Quickly following this up was Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) who scored a jumper. She was followed by Second-year, Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) who made the first three-pointer of the game. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored the first points of the 2nd quarter, scoring off a jumper. Going into the locker room, Beaver was ahead 48-21. Scoring the first points of the second half, First-year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) with two free throws. First year, Cashimere Ralph (Pittsburgh, PA) ended things in the third quarter with a layup. Starting the fourth, First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) made a layup. First-year, Pricilla Long (Brooklynn, NY) made the final layup with only 13 seconds left in the game. 

First-year, Cashimere Ralph (Pittsburgh, PA) lead her team with 15 points and 13 rebounds to achieve a double-double.  Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. First-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) scored 10 points and had10 rebounds to get herself yet another double-double. Second-year, Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) had 14 points, 6 rebounds, assists, and 7 steals. The team went 40-85 (47.1%) from the field and 10-1 (58.8%) from the free-throw line. 

Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball is now 13-8 overall and 10-3 in conference play this season. The team will take the court again on Tuesday, February 11th at 6pm when they take on another PSUAC West Competitor, Penn State Fayette.
