Tough loss on the road for Beaver during a non-conference matchup

California, PA - Another road trip proves to be tough for the Lady Lions as they hit the road to California, PA to take on the Vulcans of California University of Pennsylvania. The first half of the game was a tough start for the Lady Lions. Scoring only 9 in the first quarter, the Women's team needed to claw their way back before the half. Second-year, Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) scored the first points of the game with a lay-up 2 minutes into the game. First-year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) scored the next of point for Beaver off a free throw. Beaver's next 2 points came from a layup made by First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA). Beaver's first points of the second quarter were a 3 pointer by first-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA). With just a few minutes left, Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) closed out the scoring her final jumper of the half to get Beaver up to 21 points. Starting the second half, second-year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) hit a 3 pointer to start the scoring for Beaver after halftime. Woodruff scored a layup to get the team's scoring started in the fourth. Black scored the final jumper of the game with only a few seconds to spare.

Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels) scored 14 points, had 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. First-Year player, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had 9 points. The team had 36 rebounds, 7 assists, and 11 steals.
