Early lead gets Beaver their 8th win of the season with a final score of 90-58
Lady Lions dominate Penn State Wilkes-Barre in a PSUAC crossover matchup
Dallas, PA - Taking on Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Penn State Beaver came out hot. Today the Lady Lions were able to secure the win against Penn State Wilkes-Barre with a score of 90-59. Within the first two minutes of the game, First-year Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) gave Beaver their first points with a lay-up. That was quickly followed by a lay-up by Second-year Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA). Soon after, Enderle got another lay-up to give Beaver a 6-0 lead in the first 3 minutes of the game! Woodruff got the final point of the half with a free throw. Beaver went into halftime winning 52-26. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored the first two points of the second half from a lay-up. Beaver hit a low scoring point during the fourth quarter; the team went almost the whole quarter not scoring until First-year, Pricilla Long (Pittsburgh, PA) scored off a free-throw. Third-year, Sanii Pointdexter-Grant (Lorton, VA) scored the final points in the game with a free throw. Beaver gained the lead in the first quarter and did not take their foot off the gas until the game was over.
Leading the team this game was Second-year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) who played a strong game getting 19 points and 2 rebounds. First-year Morghan Prevost (Houston, TX) scored 12 points, had 3 steals, and 2 assists. First-year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) scored 13 points this game along with having 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored 11 points this game, had 2 rebounds, 8 assists, and steals this game.
