Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball secures another win
Monaca, PA- Penn State Beaver Womens Basketball takes on Shenango in a very intense head to head. The Game started off strong with Penn State Beaver and Shenango go shot for short keeping the game tied for the entire first quarter. Wasn't until the second quarter did Penn State Beaver start to pull ahead. Yet Shenago did not give up being right behind for most of the game. Ending the fiirst half of the game with a score of 22-25. Making for an exciting match up between the two teams
Within the third period of the game Penn State Beaver began to create a stronger lead within the game. As their player really started to find their rythm on the court. From their they were able to pull ahead creating a stronger lead to end the third period with a score of 42-34. Starting off the fourth period Penn State Beaver came in strong, not only offenisively but defensively as well. They continued to further their lead as they kept fighting till the end of the quarter. Although Penn State Shenango fought hard Penn State Beaver remains undefeated ending the game with a score of 62- 46.
Leading the charge in this tough game was first year Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) with a total of 20 points. Following her was first year Taylor Woodruff (Piitsburgh, PA) with a total of 14 point and 4 rebound. Next was second year Makitah Logan (pittsbugh,PA) with 9 points and 9 rebounds. As well as fourth year Alison Boykin (Canton, OH) with 8 points and 6 rebounds. along with the all of the Penn State Beaver Womens team they were able to secure a strong win and keep their winning streak alive.
Penn State Womens basketball 17- 0 in wins and is 18-0 in confrence. They will be taking on Penn State Greater Alleghany Friday Feburary 24th at home. Tip off is at 6pm. Come out and support or watch it all on the rise and roar network
