Beaver Drop Final Game of 2022 to Lehigh Valley
Easton, PA - Today the Lady Lions basktball team traveled to their final game of 2022 to take on Penn State Lehigh Valley in a tough PSUAC match-up. The Lions were unable to secure one last victory in the 2022 year, but they are confident that the break will provide rest for them to come back and fight in the second half of the season. Today's match-up ended with a final score of 65-62, leaving Beaver just 3 points shy. Beaver led in both quarters coming out hot, the first quarter they led 27-14 and they outscored Lehigh Valley in the third quarter 13-12. Beaver put up a hard fight but it was just not enough to bring home a victory in their final road trip game.
Sophomore, Kiera Baker (Houston, TX), scored 20 points for Beaver tonight, she also had 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in their tough battle. Junior, Kyra Seggewiss (Calgary Alberta, Canada), scored 13 points, had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals. Freshman, Daniela Guzman (Plainview, TX) and Freshman, Jada West (San Antonio, TX) scored 10 point and 9 points respectively, tonight as well for Beaver.
Tonight marks the 10th game for Beaver. Overall, leaving the Lions 8-2 and being 6-2 in PSUAC play. Their next game will be on Jan. 8th at 3:00pm marking their return to play in the Beaver Fieldhouse.
