Monaca, PA - Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball was back for another game day taking on Penn State York at home.
Both teams came ready to play in the firs quarter. Beaver and York were neck-in-neck the entire first quarter with the score ending in a tie at 14-14. Beaver was able to break ahead in the second quarter scoring 21 points and allowing York to score 17. Going into the second half, York was able to outscore Beaver by 1 point with Beaver scoring 11 and York scoring 12. Beaver closed out the game by scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter and holding York to 17. The game ended with another Beaver win 70-60.
Sophomore Kiera Baker (Houston, TX) dominated for Beaver today with another double-double. Baker finished the game with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Baker was also able to get 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. Junior Alison Boykin (Canton, OH) was also a key player in today's win finishing with 14 points, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds. Freshman Anissa Mata (San Antonio, TX) finished today's game with 10 points, 6 steals, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds.
