The Penn State Beaver women's basketball team took to the road, traveling to Penn State Worthington Scranton for another conference matchup. Beaver took home an 84-56 victory, boosting their record to 10-3 on the season. The team has been playing extremely well as of late, and remain unbeaten in conference play still this season.
The Beaver women dominated Worthington Scranton in this game, as they were able to jump out to an early lead and never look back. Within the first few minutes of the game Beaver took a lead that they would hold on to until the end of this one. The team played well all around, shooting nearly 50% from the field while holding Worthington Scranton to only 27% shooting. This was one of Beaver's best games all season and with their victory they extend their winning streak to four games.
Beaver still sits at the top of their conference standings after this game, as the team remains undefeated in conference play. While the team has had its share of struggles in games this year, it would be hard to think that they won't make it back to the PSUAC championship if they continue to win like they have been. The team was led in their victory by Senior Asia Borders (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) who scored a team high 14 points, while also hauling in 7 rebounds. The team will play next on Saturday, January 14, at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Game time is set for 1 pm.
