Beaver Loses Big Against Davis and Elkins

Monaca, Pa -- The Penn State Beaver women's basketball faced off against Davis and Elkins, losing by a final score of 106-37.
The Penn State Beaver women's basketball team traveled to Davis and Elkins, looking to take down this very tough opponent and extend upon their impressive five game win streak. With Davis and Elkins being one of the toughest opponents the team will face all season, Beaver has the their work cut out for them coming into this game.
The game itself turned out to be an ugly four quarters of play for Beaver. The team came out to a slow start against a good Davis and Elkins team, and were never able to get anything going offensively. The team was outscored in every quarter of play by a large margin, and were only able to make 28% of their shots throughout the game. Davis and Elkins played this game with the goal of winning big, as they improved as the game went on. Beaver ended up losing this game by a final score of 106-37, ending their five game winning streak.
After this blowout loss to Davis and Elkins, Beaver now sits with a 6-3 overall record this season. Beaver was lead in their losing effort by Freshman Jazmyne Boyd (Aliquippa, Pa / Hopewell), who scored a team high 12 points while hauling in 6 rebounds. The team will play next on Friday, December 9, at home against Penn State Fayette. Game time is set for 6 pm.
