Beaver comes into the game on an impressive four game winning streak, in which the team has had struggles but has continually played well when it counted. This game should be a good test for Beaver to see if they have what it takes to play a good, consistent game, to take home a win.
Beaver had control of this game early, as the team jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first five minutes of play. However, the girls could not maintain this lead as halfway through the first Du Bois rallied back, bringing the score to 18-11 by the end of the first quarter. The second half showed a much stronger performance out of Beaver, as the girls really pulled their game together starting in the third. While Du Bois continued to score at will at the start of the third quarter, Beaver had quietly began to answer back. With three minutes left to play in the third, Beaver took the lead right back from Du Bois as really began to start firing on all cylinders as Du Bois began to get sloppy. With a 51-45 score at the start of the fourth quarter, Beaver really pushed hard to keep extending their lead. With five minutes left in the game, Beaver had widened their lead to 60-49 and the team was able to settle down and secure their win. When it was all said and done, Beaver won this one by a final score of 71-58.
