Beaver comes into this game coming off of a great come from behind win against a good Apprentice team just a night before. The team has played very well so far this season and look to get another good win against Carlow.
Beaver started the game off well, taking a quick lead and playing very well in the first quarter. The women came into the second quarter up 9-6 and from there it started to go bad for Beaver. The women started to get sloppy as Carlow stepped up the pressure, and the momentum started to make a big swing in Carlow's favor. As the quarter came to a close Beaver started making a push to come back, bringing the score to 25-23 in favor of Carlow as the game went into halftime.
Carlow came out in the second half very strong, taking a huge lead right away and taking control of the game going up 46-32 by the end of the third quarter. Beaver played hard in the fourth, really pushing to make a comeback but falling just short. Beaver ended up making it close, but still fell by a final score of of 65-53.
With their loss against Carlow, Beaver now sits at 1-2 on the season. The team has shown that they can play very well at times, but havent managed to play four full consistent quarters this season. Beaver was led in this game by the efforts of Senior Asia Borders (Ellwood City, PA / Lincoln) who had a team high 12 points and 7 rebounds, and Sophomore Miranda Davis (Port Saint Lucie, FL / Saint Lucie West Centennial) who had a team high 10 rebounds while scoring 9 points.
