Penn State Beaver's Lady Lions get it done in their first game on the road this weekend. The first half was a little slow for how hot their offense has been as of late. This game was lead by Khalia Adams who had an excellent game, and Tiarra Gordon who had a solid game off the bench. They only shot 26.7 percent from the field in the first half but still led going into halftime 30-21.
Beaver had a much better second half shooting a a solid 43.2 percent from the field as a team. They outscored Schuylkil in the second half 47-23. This was a lot more like the dominating Beaver team we are all used too. They spread the ball around and had contributions from every single player on the team. Despite being outrebounded by Schuylkill, they executed much better on the offensive side.
Leading in scoring for Beaver was Khalia Adams, with an impressive 26 points, adding a trio of three's, four steals, and three assists. Tiarra Gordon lead the team with 9 rebounds coming off the bench, and put in some solid minutes for the Lady Lions. Beaver will finish their regular season tomorrow against Penn State Hazelton. Hazelton is undefeated in the PSUAC and will be a good test for the lady lions heading into the playoffs being behind them in the standings only having one loss. That game is scheduled for tomorrow at 3 p.m, at Hazelton.
