Monaca, PA--- The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions lost a home game on Wednesday night when they hosted Carlow University, falling by a score of 64-55. Beaver led for most of the first half, leading by as many as 7 but Carlow would come back to tie the score at 27 at the half. Carlow would then take a lead early in the second half but Beaver would not go away as they kept the game close throughout until the final minute when Carlow would pull away for good.
Beaver was led offensively by Hayden Kimbrough (Rochester, Rochester), Amanda Temple (Avella, Avella) and Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, Westinghouse) who all three scored 12 points while Morgan Kurtz (Washington, Trinity) scored 11, giving the Lady Lions four scorers in double figures. Kimbrough added 10 rebounds, making it her first double-double of the season. Temple had 9 rebounds and Flowers added 6. Brittany Tomaselli (East Liverpool, East Liverpool) added 7 assists for Beaver.
The Lady Lions will play again on Saturday when they host PSU York at 1pm at the Beaver Fieldhouse.
