Lasy Lions Take Epic Victory Against Kent State

New Philadelphia, OH- Penn State Beaver Lady Lions traveled to take on Kent State Tuscarawas in a doubleheader that saw total victory for the Lady Lions. Game 1 would start with First-year Reza Benson (Sunbury, OH) taking the first points for Beaver. Following her, First-year Emilee Waggoner (Conway, PA), Fourth-year Maria Matts (Pittsburgh, PA), Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightville, PA), Second-year Haley Cook (Aliquippa, PA) would all make scores in the second inning, gaiing Beaver a impressive 6-0 lead. Beaver would make more scores in the third inning. Kent State would attempt to respond but Beaver kept on scoring. Beaver would lasts core in the fifth inning by Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA), with a final score of 19-4. Game 2 Beaver would immediatley score in the first inning, Third-year Selene Arteaga (Simi Valley, CA), Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA), and First-year Reza Benson (Sunbury, OH) getting a quick 3-0 Lead for Beaver. Second inning Beaver would also pull all the stops gaining additional points. Beaver would last score in the fourth inning by First-year Anna Moore (Stafford, VA), ending the game 16-1. 

Game 1- Hitting for Beaver, First-year Reza Benson (Sunbury, OH) would be at base 4 times, hitting 3, and make 2 runs and 1 walk. First-year Anna Moore (Stafford, VA) would follow, being up at base 3 times, hitting 2, and making 3 runs. Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightville, PA) would be up at base 2 times, hitting once, and make 3 runs and 1 walk. At pitch, Second-year Kierstyn Mays (Sterling, IL) would see 5 strikeouts, 4 runs, and 3 earned runs.

Game 2- Leading Beaver for the second game, Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) would be at base 4 times, hitting 3, and would make 3 runs. Following Boyd, First-year Emilee Waggoner (Conway, PA) with 3 times at base, 2 hits, and 1 run. First-year Reza Benson (Sunbury, OH) would be at base 2 times, hitting once, and making 2 runs. At pitch, Fourth-year Gabbey Flynt (Fayetteville, TN) would see 3 strikeouts, 1 run, and 1 earned run.
