Lady Lions Play Hard Against La Roche

Monaca, PA- Penn State Beaver Lady Lions took on La Roche in a Doubles Match, Saturday March 29th. Game 1 would see Beaver dominate La Roche with a final score of 6-1. Beaver would first score during the end of the second inning with back-to-back scoring by First-year Reza Benson (Sunbury, OH), First-year Emilee Waggoner (Conway, PA), and Second-year Haley Cook (Aliquippa, PA). 3rd inning would see Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) hit Beaver a homerun, making Beaver stand at 5-0 at the end of this inning. Finally, during the 5th inning, Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightsville, PA), securing Beaver a 6 point victory over La Roche. Game 2 would see La Roche put up a bit more of a fight against our Lady Lions. Third-year Selene Arteaga (Simi Valley, CA) would score first for Beaver at the end of the first inning. La Roche would make a score during the begining of the second inning, Beaver would respond to this by the end of second, Second-year Haley Cook (Aliquippa, PA) maintaining Beavers lead. La Roche would see back-to-back scoring during the 4th and 3rd innings, Beaver keeping pace with them, with scoring by First-year Allison Delong (Hookstown, PA) and a homerun by Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightsville, PA). La Roche would pull out the stops for the remaining innings and end up defeating Beaver with a final of 6-5. Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) would last score for Beaver.

Game 1: Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightsville, PA) would lead Beaver here, at base 3 times, hitting twice. Cassidy would run once, but make no walks. First-year Anna Moore (Stafford, VA) would be at base 2 times, hitting once. Anna would make 1 run and 1 walk during her time on the field. Fourth-year Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) would be at base twice and hit once. Mackenzie would make 1 runs but no walks on the field. At pitch, Second-year Kierstyn Mays (Sterling, IL) would see 1 strikeout. Along with this strikeout, she would see 1 run and 1 earned run. 

Game 2: Second-year Cassidy Crean (Wrightsville, PA) would lead the Lady Lions this game, being at base 3 times, hitting 2. Cassidy would also make 1 run. Fourth-year Maria Matts (Pittsburgh, PA) would follow, being at base 4 times, hitting twice. She wouldn't run nor walk during her time on the field. Fourth-year Gabbey Flynt (Fayetteville, TN) would be at base twice, hitting once. At pitch, Fourth-year Gabbey Flynt (Fayetteville, TN) would see 4 strikeouts, 4 runs, and 3 earned runs.
