Beaver played at Penn State Beaver field for the 2nd time this week. The Lady Lions played an outstanding doubleheader today against Penn State Scranton. The Lady Lions shut out Scranton in the first game 15-0.
In the first game, The Lady Lions hit the ball very well bringing in 15 runs. Beaver could not be stopped at the plate. They kept rolling in runs left and right. The Lady Lions played a great game today as a team!! Everyone contributed to an amazing win. First year, Kierstyn Mays (Sterling, IL) hit a grand slam to bring the Lady Lions up huge. Fifth year, Valentina Sandoval (Miami, FL) hitting great in the first game finishing with 1 hit, 1 run, and 3 RBI's. 5th year, Chloe Coleman (Moon Twp, PA) finished the first game with 2 runs, 2 hits, and 1 RBI. 4th year, Kylie Magnotta (Monaca, PA) helped contribute to the win with 2 runs, 2 hits, and RBI.
In the second game, The Lady Lions won big 12-2. Beaver hit the ball very well for the second game in a row. They continued to show their dominance 5th year, Chloe Coleman finished with 2 runs, 3 hits, and 1 RBI. 2nd year, Selene Arteaga (Simi Valley, CA) finished with 1 run, 2 hits, and 3 RBI's. 3rd year, Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) hit a walk-off home run to seal the win.
Third year, Mackenzie Boyd (Beaver, PA) won Player of the game for today with an outstanding performance. She finished with 5 hits, 3 runs, 5 RBI's, and 1 walk-off home run.
