Myrtle Beach, SC -- Beaver shutout against Gwynedd Mercy College in their final game in Myrtle Beach.
After holding Gwynedd scoreless in the first, Beaver wasn't able to keep them off the board in the second and third, giving up 3 and 2 respectively. Beaver's first hit of the game came in the third inning, but they weren't able to capitalize.
The teams held each other at a stalemate through the next two innings. But in the top of the sixth, Gwynedd put up another four runs forcing Beaver's hand in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing a mercy rule loss, Beaver couldn't muster a single base runner and fell by a final score of 9-0.
Beaver ends their trip to Myrtle 3-3 and travels to Virgina Beach to face Stratford University on Saturday.
