Beaver's Struggles Continue Against Daneville Area Community College
The Penn State Beaver softball team kicked off their third day of games in Myrtle Beach with a game against Daneville Area Community College, in which Beaver's bats fell silent as they lost by a final score of 4-1.

The Penn State Beaver softball team started their third and final day of games in Myrtle Beach with a matchup against Daneville Area Community College. Beaver is currently winless so far during their trip, going 0-5 in games to this point.
Daneville started this game out with a leadoff double from the first batter of the game, scoring one in the top of the first as they jumped out to an early lead. in the bottom half of the inning, Beaver was able to load the bases but were unable to answer back with a run of their own as they were doubled off to end the inning while trying to score a run off of a sacrifice fly. Howeve, Beaver was able to tied the game up in the bottom of the second, plating one off of a Lacey Weible (Hookstown, PA / South Side) single. The game would remain tied for the next few innings as Sophomore Vanessa Jackson (Snohomish, WA / Snohomish) pitched a great game, only letting up one run through the first five innings. In Daneville's half of the sixth, they were able to rally for 2 runs to take the lead, and were able to put the game on ice as they scored another run in their half of the seventh to take a 4-1 win.
After their loss against Daneville, Beaver is still winless during their time Myrtle. The team was led in this one by by a good performance at the plate by Lacey Weible, 2-4 with an RBI, and a strong pitching performance by Vanessa Jackson, 2 earned runs and 3 strikeouts over 7 innings pitched.
