Monaca, PA--- Penn State Beaver hosted Penn State Mont Alto in a double header looking to improve its record.
Beaver gave up two runs in the first inning. Rachael Charlier (Burgettstown,PA/Burgettstown) doubled sending Rachel Borrell (Dowingtown, PA/Dowingtown) home to score Beavers only run of the game.
Beaver gave up 19 runs in three innings losing the game 19-3.
In the second game of the double header Beaver played much better. After being down 5-0 in the 4th inning Beaver found its groove. Beaver scored 4 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Borrell, Charlier, Haley Paul (Rochester, PA/Rochester), and Mason DePetro (Coraopolis, PA/ Cornell) all scored for Beaver.
Beaver let up four more runs to fall short and lost to Mont Alto 9-5.
Beavers next game is April 26th against Penn State New Kensington at 12 p.m.
