Pottsville, PA--- Penn State Beaver took on Penn State Schuylkill on a sunny afternoon looking to continue its win streak and improve its record.
In the first inning Penn State Beaver took the lead 1-0. Amanda Habedank (Nevile Island, PA/ Cornell) scored off of an Asia Borders (Ellwood City, Pa/Lincoln) single.
In the second inning Schuylkill matched Beaver, and scored a run of its own.
In the second half the momentum changed into Schuylkill's favor. Schuylkill scored five runs in the second innning making the game 6-1 going into the third inning.
Sunnie Liggett (Avella, PA/Avella) would make it home after an error to bring the lions closer, 6-3.
Schuylkill would match Beaver's run and score two of its own. The score was now 8-3.
In the top of the 6th inning Rachael Charlier (Burgettstown, PA/Burgettstown) would score off of Liggett's single.
Schuylkill would match Beaver again with a run of its own. Beaver lost 9-4.
In the second match of the double header Beaver lost to Schuylkill in three inning's.
In the first inning Beaver gave up 16 runs and in the second and thrid inning Beaver couldn't get a run to bring the game closer.
Beaver's next game is away against Penn State Brandywine at 12 and 2 p.m.
