Monaca, Pa - The Men's Soccer team was back at home today taking on Penn State Hazelton. As the season nears the end, Beaver has yet to capture a win. They came close today, but ended the match in a 3-3 tie.
The first half was in Beaver's favor as fifth year Tyler VanKirk (West Mifflin, PA) scored the only goal of the half, assisted by third year Joe Saldivar (Darrington, PA). The second half is where Hazelton scored all three of their goals, but Beaver did not fall short this time. Second year Andy Baltodano (Miami, FL) scored Beaver's second goal unassisted, and first year Robert Chauvenne (Georgetown, PA) scored the second goal of the half for Beaver, and their third overall goal. Chauvenne was assisted by Baltodano.
Although Beaver was unable to get the win today, they closed off their losing streak with a tie. They will be back in action at home on Wednesday, October 11 for a nonconference matchup against Bryant and Stratton Rochester.
