Beaver Falls to Waynesburg 5-0 in Non-Conference Match

Waynesburg, PA - Today the Men's Soccer team traveled to Waynesburg Pennsylvania to take on the Yellow Jackets of Waynesburg University. The Lions were unable to secure a win though in their travels and come home with a 0-2 record for the season so far. Beaver was able to get a couple shots off though this game which is an improvement from their previous game. The Lions look to take these shots to prepare for their upcoming conference match-ups in hopes to best the competition and make it back to the USCAA National Tournament once again.

In this game Beaver took 7 shots in total, 4 of them were shots on goal. Beaver had 4 different players take shots on goal tonight, Second-Year, Matias Garcia (Venezuela), First-Year, Robert Chauvenne (Georgetown, PA), First-year, Joseph Liddle (Torrance, CA), and Fifth-Year, Ethan Paxton (Freedom, PA). First-year, Quentin Wertz (Hookstown, PA) earned Player of the Game once again for Beaver after saving 9 shots on Waynesburgs 14 shots on goal. Waynesburg took a total of 33 shots, 14 on goal, with 5 scoring.

Beaver may have not been able to score this game but it was a good time to take some shots and get back into it before conference play begins for the PSUAC once again.

Beaver will tavel to take on Franciscan University this Friday, September 8th at 8:30pm followed by them playing Muskingham at Franciscan University Saturday, September 9th at 4:30pm.
