Monaca, PA - The Men's Soccer Team began their season today at home taking on Berkeley-NJ. Berkeley-NJ proved to be tough competition for Beaver today.
In the first half of the game, the Knights were able to score only 2 goals against the Lions. The Lions made strong attempts, but could not manage to score a goal. The second half of the game went no better for the Lions. The Knights were able to score 4 more goals against Beaver, which secured them a 6-0 win. Berkeley-NJ traveled home giving Beaver a tough start to their season.
First-year goalie Quentin Wertz (Hookstown, PA) played the entire game in the goal for Beaver finishing with 16 saves out of 22 shots taken, and allowed 6 goals. Second-year, Andy Baltodano (Miami, FL) was the only player to take any shot for Beaver but was unable score for Beaver.
