Hazleton, PA - Today the Men's Soccer team traveled to take on Penn State Hazleton in a PSUAC match-up. The team had a strong start to the game scoring 5 goals in the first half and scoring 2 more in the second. Beaver was able to best Penn State Hazleton 7-0 resulting in a shutout win for them. The team had a lot of strong plays and were able to secure the win helping them futher their standings in the PSUAC.
6 players for Beaver scored today. Freshman, Andy Baltodano (Miami, FL) s cored the first game in the first 3 minutes of the game and he assisted the second goal of the game. Sophomore, Nadeem Shakshir (Jerusalem), scored the second and third goal. While Senior, Jake Ross (Munhall, PA) who was assisted by Senior, Romaine Thomas (Philadephila, PA) scored the fourth goal. Thomas assisted the fifth goal as well which was scored by Senior, Ethan Paxton (). The second half had goals scored by both Femi Oluwabusi (Bowie, MD) and Colton Heasley (Freedom, PA). In goal for Beaver was Freshman, Gabi Barreto (Beaufort, SC) who had 3 saves off 3 shots.
The team is currently 5-3-1 overall and 4-1 in conference. Their next game will be on October 4th at 3pm when they take on Penn State Greater Allegenhy at home.
