Allentown, PA- The Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer team traveled to Penn State Lehigh Valley on Sunday for the second half of their PSUAC cross over weekend. This one was a tale of two halves.
In the first half, Lehigh Valley took a quick 1-0 lead, scoring three minutes into the game. Beaver would answer with not one, but two goals. At the 8 minute mark, Jake Ross scored an unassisted goal. At the 14th minute mark, Ethan Paxton scored an unassisted as well, building a 2-1 lead for Beaver. At the 29 minute mark, Lehigh Valley got their second goal, the the scored remained tied 2-2 into half time. The score remained tied until the 70th minute mark, at which time the wheels came off the cart for Beaver. Lehigh Valley would score not 1, not 2, but 5 goals in the final 20 minutes, and took down Beaver 7-2.
With the loss, Beaver now sits at 6-2 overall, and 3-1 in the PSUAC. Beaver will return to the road on Wednesday, when they travel to Washington Adventist.
