Youngwood, Pa.- Penn State Beaver defeats Westmoreland, 12-0.
In their third game of the season, the men's soccer team were back on the road on Thursday, where they faced Westmoreland County Community College. This would be the team's third straight away game before hosting their first home game on Saturday, and Beaver was eager to return home with a win.
Motivated and determined, Beaver's offensive dominated Westmoreland throughout the entire game, scoring 12 unanswered goals against Westmoreland and winning the game, 12-0.
The top scorers for Beaver included freshman Amsa Sanneh, forward, who finished with 4 goals and 5 shots on goal and freshman Danylo Yakymov, defensive, who scored 3 goals and 5 shots on goal. Freshman David Palmer, midfield, and freshman Kevin Colindres, forward, each contributed 2 goals, and junior John Kazmierczyk, forward, finished with 1 goal. Beaver is now 1-2 overall.
The men's soccer team will play again this Saturday, Sept. 8 against Carlow. This will be the team's first home game. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
