New Brighton, PA- The Penn State Beaver Men's soccer team opened up the 2017 campaign hosting a very strong opponent. Florida National finished in the USCAA Final Four last fall in Virginia Beach. Beaver and Florida National have never faced off.
In the first half, Florida National struck early, netting their first goal at the five minute mark. The Conquisadors would add five more before half to take a 6-0 lead into half. Beaver played a strong 20 minutes in the second half before imploding and allowing five more Florida National goals. The final would be in favor of Florida, 11-0.
Beaver opens the season at 0-1. They will next travel to Highmark Stadium (Pittsburgh, PA) to take on Carlow college on Thursday, September 7th. Kick off is set for 7PM, or 20 Minutes after the women's game. The Lady Lions will be opening their season off that day at 5 p.m.
