Unionville, PA - Beaver got another win today against WCCC, 3-1, to continue their brilliant win streak.
The game started out fairly quiet until Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/ Perry) scored at the 8 minute mark thanks to an assist from Anthony Voss (Pittsburgh, PA/ Chartiers Valley), Beaver kept looking for a second goal, easily outplaying WCCC, but both teams limited opponent shots in the half. Beaver made 5 changes just before halftime to see if they could get the second goal and hang on to their lead, but the teams went into halftime tied.
Both teams were ready to go after the break, but 7 minutes into the second half, Beaver got the second goal they had been pressing for, as Alex Rectenwald (Pittsburgh, PA/ Chartiers Valley) scored off of a free kick from Logan Ridgley (Fombell, PA/ Riverside). Beaver continued outplaying WCCC who very rarely got to touch the ball all game until 31 minutes from the end when they scored from the penalty spot, but that didn't affect Beaver in anyway as the continued attacking WCCC at a very quick pace. With just 13 minutes to play, Beaver got their third goal of the afternoon from Smith who continues his fine scoring form this season. The last 10 minutes had more subs than shots to rest players on both sides, the game ended in a 3-1 win to Beaver.
Beaver's next game is Saturday, October 17, against Penn State York at 1 p.m.
