Rochester, Pa -- Today Penn State Beaver honored local high school student, Austin Babinsack, from Highlands High School. Prior to today's match, Austin was named an honorary captain and led the team's international walk out for the coin flip.
Beaver played host to Penn State York for their last regular season PSUAC match-up.
In the first half both teams came out playing well. But in the seventh minute York scored their first goal of the game. Beaver battled the rest of the first half but went into half time down 1-0.
In the second half Beaver battled to come back and had chances just didn't connect on any of them. Beaver fell by a final score of 1-0.
In goal for Beaver was Ryan Freeman (Georgetown, PA/South Side Beaver) who faced 7 shots on goal saving 6.
Beaver's next game is a playoff game Wednesday October 22nd against Penn State Greater Allegheny scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
