Mont Alto, PA--- Penn State Beaver defeated Mont Alto Saturday afternoon 4-1.
Beaver started off the game in a controlling fashion, dominating the half creating alot of chances but only put in one goal in the first half coming from Anthony Voss (Pittsburgh, PA/Chartiers Valley), his second of the season.
In the second half Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) netted 3 goals, going around the goalie for one of his goals. His second half scoring allowed Beaver to cruise to victory by a final score of 4-1.
Goalie Matthew Cottage (Baden, PA/Ambridge) is doing an excellent job this year for Beaver, Cottage only let in 2 goals in the last 5 games. Cottage currently has 61 saves this year. It's just not the offense and the goalie, Beaver's defense has been playing excellent lately. Beaver continues their conference winning streak to 4 games. Beaver is now 5-2 in the conference.
