Penn State Beaver loses to Penn State Bradywine in double OT

Rochester, PA--- Penn State Beaver took on Penn State Brandywine, the team they lost to in the PSUAC Championship last year.

Brandywine took control of the first ten minutes of the game. Brandywine scored their first goal, which gave them a small cushion to work with. Soon After their goa,l Lamont Wright (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Hills) scored off a corner kick to tie the game 1-1. As the two teams continued to battle Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) put a goal in to make the game 2-1 going into the half.

In the second half Beaver controlled most of it. Brandywine was granted a penalty kick due to a handball inside the box. Brandywine scored making the game 2-2 for the end of regulation.

In the first overtime both teams were scoreless. In the second overtime Brandywine ended the game by heading the ball in off a corner kick. Brandywine beat Beaver 3-2 in double overtime. "We fought hard today, and I am proud of how we played against them today unfortunately it didn't go our way but we will see them again." Coach Van Kirk said. 

Beaver's next game is a home game September 23rd against Alfred State at 5 p.m.
