Unionville, PA -- Penn State Beaver played their first conference home game today against Penn State Hazelton, and it was a very intense and physical one. Beaver had chances in the first half to score but didn't connect on any of the shots. Hazelton scored first at the 39:38 to lead the half 1-0.
In the second half Hazelton still had the momentum on their side, scoring another goal at 50:11 making the game a two goal difference. At 69:07 sophomore Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) flicked the ball to Dom DeMino which led to a goal at 69:07. The game remained a nail biter while both teams continued to battle. At the end of the regulation time it was 2-2 so it was time for OT.
