Pittsburgh, PA--Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer team loses to La Roche College in a disappointing defeat.
Penn State Beaver came out controlling posession for the first several minutes, but it wasn't long until La Roche scored their first goal. Penn State Beaver quickly answered back with a goal scored from freshman Dom DeMino (Moon Township, PA/OLSH). La Roche answered back with three more goals going into the half to lead Beaver 4-1.
In the second half Penn State Beaver's sophmore Marcus Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry) answered with a goal assisted from sophmore Glenn Claypool (Palmdale, CA/Highland) but that wasn't enough motivation to keep the offense going. Beaver played their best defensive half all season keeping La Roche scoreless for 35 minutes. La Roche scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game to win the game 7-2.
Penn State Beaver opens up conference play with a home game this Saturday, September 13th taking on Penn State Hazelton at 2 p.m.
