Unionville, PA -- In their 2014 home opener, Men's Soccer falls to Stevenson University.
Stevenson opened the scoring early in the game with their first goal coming at 10:33. For the next 12 minutes they kept the pressure on Beaver and put in an additional 3 goals to take a 4-0 lead within the first 22 minutes of the game. They would carry that lead into the half.
In the second half, Beaver turned up the defensive pressure and held Stevenson to just 2 goals in the half. One coming at 54:37 and the other at 68:34, but even the late defensive effort wasn't enough.
Beaver only managed to get 3 shots on goal in the game, but freshman keeper, Matthew Cottage (Baden, PA/Ambridge) saw 12 shots on goal and saved 6.
Beaver will take to the field again on Thursday, September 11th when they travel to LaRoche College.
