Buffalo, NY -- The Lions went on the road this afternoon to face the Mavericks of Medaille College in a non-conference match-up in Buffalo, NY.
The Mavericks came out of the gates scoring in this game as they scored their first of nine first half goals at the 6:23 mark. The Lions could not seem to even slow their opponent in the first half and had a hard time generating any offense of their own as they only had one shot on goal for the entire game which as made by Yousseff Helal (Cairo, Egypt/Choueirat).
The second half of play was very similar to the first as Beaver gave up an additional seven goals to fall by a final score of 16-0. In goal was Kyle Daltner (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) who faced 32 shots and made 16 saves.
The Lions will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Penn State York for a PSUAC match-up scheduled to start at 2:00pm.
