Freedom, PA- Penn State Beaver men's soccer loses to Westmoreland County Community College in overtime.
As the match geared up, it was apparent that both teams were equally talented. Beaver had 8 shots on goal in the first half and WCCC had 11, which resulted in the first goal for WCCC at the 41:11 mark. Goalie Matt Fetch (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) put up a good effort throughout the first half preventing WCCC from scoring again for the remainder of the half.
In the second half, both teams had the same amount shots on goal but Beaver's Dominick Gajdos (West Mifflin, PA/West Mifflin) capitalized on his attempt and tied up the score at the 81:30 mark. Beaver's goal continued to go unanswered the rest of the half sending the match into overtime.
In overtime, the match ended at the 90:41 mark when WCCC scored their second goal defeating Beaver.
