Lions Continue to Struggle Offensively; Downed 6-0
Lions Fall to Waynesburg on the Road

Waynesburg, PA - The Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer Team dropped its fourth consecutive road match, 6-0, at the hands of Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets (3-3).
Waynesburg found the back of the net in the 7th minute (6:59) and added goals in the 16th, 24th and 39th minute to take a comfortable 4-0 lead into the half.
Despite the return of starting forward Scott Stawiarski (West Allegheny/Imperial, PA) the Lions could only muster three shots on goal the entire game. Stawiarski, DJ Kemerer (Quaker Valle/Sewickley, PA) and Mahmoud Helal (Choueifat-Egypt/Cairo, Egypt) each had one shot on goal, each in the first half.
Waynesburg beat keeper Cody Killmeyer (Langley/Pittsburgh, PA) for two more goals in the second half to make the final, 6-0.
Killmeyer allowed all six goals while stopping 11 Yellow Jacket shots.
The Lions will face Mercyhurst North East (North East, PA) on Thursday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. as they look for their first road win of the season.
