Lions Clawed by Tomcats, Drop 3-0 Decision
Despite Solid Play Lions Fall

Greenville, PA - The Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer Team (0-2, 0-0 PSUAC) dropped a 3-0 match to the Tomcats of Thiel College (2-2).
The Lions played the Tomcats to a draw early on, however, Thiel goals in the 25th minute and 37th minute saw Beaver down 2-0 at the half.
Despite solid defensive efforts by keeper Cody Killmeyer (Langley/Pittsburgh, PA) and defender TJ Couch (New Brighton/New Brighton, PA) the Tomcats tacked on a lone goal at the 8 minute mark of the second half, which ended the scoring for the day.
In the loss, Killmeyer had one save. Offensively, Beaver tallied five shots on goal. Scott Stawiarski (West Allegheny/Imperial, PA), Jason Schachter (Langley/Pittsburgh, PA) and Desmond Amberetu (Bowie/Bowie, MD) each had a shot on goal, while Mahmoud Helal (Choueifat-Egypt/Cairo, Egypt) had two shots on goal.
Beaver play its first home game of the season at Green Valley Park, at 2 p.m. when the face rival Penn State Mont Alto in its first conference game of the season.
